What sparked the idea to start a course?

As you likely know, I have a small (tiny, micro) functional medicine practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. To my knowledge, I am the only pediatrician in the state certified in functional medicine and one of a handful in the country. This means that many people from different states reach out to me for help, but I am unable to assist them because I don't have a medical license in those states and cannot practice medicine there.

Furthermore, I am unable to find enough time to effectively see all the patients who want to be seen. The beauty of functional medicine is that time is spent with each patient, and even more time is spent thinking about and researching for each patient before and after visits. It is truly a labor of love, but there is only so much time in one day.

It would be wonderful to offer basic functional medicine education and materials to more people and be able to help those outside of New Mexico.

Thus, the idea of an online course was born.

But when I started to look into it, well, it seems like everybody and their brother is creating some kind of online course these days. I admit it's a bit annoying, and I kind of feel like, "Really, what do you know that I can't just Google and figure out?"

It's totally true. You can learn anything you want nowadays with a phone and an internet connection. But... I caved and purchased an online course myself and found it so helpful! All the information was distilled down in one place. Of course, I could go out and get all the information on my own, but I certainly didn't have the time to do that.

So I started putting my heart and soul into creating this course for you - countless hours, money, tears, sweat, all of it. I truly hope you get everything you wanted out of this course and more.
